End of New Otani in December
Singapore

Singapore
(23rd Aug 2004)

THE Wuthelam Group, parent company of the Hotel New Otani Singapore, has decided to sell the hotel, with the completion of sale scheduled for September 30.

However, pending the new owners' appointment of a new operator to manage the hotel under a new hotel name (Radisson as reported by TTG Asia), it will continue to be operated by The New Otani Far East Management between October 1 and December 31 as Hotel New Otani Singapore.

The management contract goes back to 1984. (Hotel) New Otani Co. Ltd was founded in 1963 by Mr Yonetaro Otani. The chain has expanded rapidly throughout Japan, the most popular of its properties being the New Otani Tokyo, but not as fast outside Japan, where it is present in Los Angeles, Hawaii and Beijing.
