Finnair's finntastic Bollywood surprise

Dancing flight attendants are old news. But when a crew of Finnair flight attendants surprised passengers by breaking into a lively Bollywood dance routine on the overnight flight from Helsinki to Delhi in celebration of India’s Republic Day on January 26, we just had to take our hats off.

The dancers, some dressed in sequinned traditional Indian outfits, while others in Finnair’s black-and-white uniform, looked like they had just leapt out from a Bollywood movie. Where did they find the time to practise the routine? Twirling and grooving to an infectiously happy Indian song, the dance crew put smiles on many passengers’ faces and had some clapping along to the performance.

We say, that’s an awfully smart way to get into the Indian market’s good books. The surprise Bollywood groove makes for great publicity too, considering how the dance video has gone viral, with its posting on YouTube registering over three million views as of January 31.
